Update on COVID-19 Cases in Platte County, WY
[Wheatland, WY, 7/1/2020] Since 4/27/2020, Platte County has had 7 quarantine cases (2 active, 5 closed), 3 positive cases (1 active as of 7/1/2020, 2 recovered), and 1 probable case (still active). As of today, the majority of the different cases have been a result of exposure to positive cases in another county or state. There has not been evidence of community spread.
Please know Platte County Public health, the Emergency Manager, and our County Health Officer are working hard to keep our community safe and the information shared is to keep you updated and aware of how our community is doing in preventing the spread of COVID-19.
For these most recent cases, the follow up and contact tracing is ongoing. As part of the process, people who may have had close contact with a person who tests positive for COVID-19 will be or have been identified and contacted by the Wyoming Department of Health. Community members will be notified individually if it is determined that they were a close contact with the diagnosed COVID-19 positive person.
