Due to the large number of fires, (29 in 29 days) the Commissioners have issued a fire ban. For more information

Attention Property Owners:
The 2012 Notices of Assessment were mailed out on April 5, 2012. The deadline for
appeal is May 7, 2012. If you have questions regarding the value of your property,
please feel free to call Al Wright,
Platte County Assessor, at 322-2858 or by visiting
the office between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Veteran’s Property Tax Exemption
The deadline for the Veteran’s Property Tax Exemption is nearing. This year the
deadline to sign up falls on Memorial Day so we are extending it to Tuesday, May
29th. Since the rule change two years ago, you may either call us to sign up or
stop by the office to sign the form.
On-Site Reviews of properties within Platte County
The Platte County Assessor’s Office has two Field Appraisers who will begin conducting
inspections in the near future. By Wyoming State and Department of Revenue rules,
they are required to inspect 1/6th of the county’s properties every year. They will
be checking size, type, condition and other characteristics of improvements on the
property. Additionally, new construction and changes identified on building permits
are reviewed and listed.
