About the Platte County Weed & Pest Board:
The Platte County Weed & Pest District Board is a seven member board, which was formed to govern the operations of the Platte County Weed & Pest. Each member serves a four-year term, without compensation, and each member represents one of the seven areas within Platte County. Those areas are: Area 1 - Glendo/Meadowdale; Area 2 - Dwyer; Area 3 - North Wheatland; Area 4 - South Wheatland; Area 5 - Slater; Area 6 - Chugwater; Area 7 - Town of Wheatland. They are tasked with overseeing the management of noxious weeds and pests in Platte County, as required by Wyoming State Statute. The Platte County Weed & Pest has a number of programs and cost-shares to help landowners treat noxious weeds and pests. To learn about these programs a landowner may call the Weed & Pest or stop by the office. Their contact information, and office location, are listed below.
From April to September, the Weed & Pest District Board meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 6:30 PM.
From October to March, the Weed & Pest District Board meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 5:30 PM.
These meetings are held at the Weed & Pest Office.
