Proclamation of Glendo EMS Tax Election

Question Submitted to Qualified Electors of the 3-1 Precinct:

TAX PROPOSITION

 

The Glendo Emergency Medical Services (EMS) District is seeking the approval of the qualified electors within the District to impose a tax not to exceed four (4) mills on the taxable property of the district.

 

Registering to Vote for the Bond Election

The last day to register to vote in the Bond Election is April 21, 2025. After this date you will need to both register and vote absentee, or you may register and vote at the polls on Election Day, Tuesday, May 6, 2025.

 

Voting Assistance 

Any elector who requires assistance to vote because of blindness, disability or inability to read or write, may be given assistance by a person of the elector’s choice, other than the elector’s employer or agent of that employer or an officer or agent of the elector’s union (W.S. §22-13-113(a)). Absentee/UOCAVA Voting 

A qualified elector may request an absentee ballot on any date, except on Bond Election Day (May 6, 2025). Absentee balloting will begin on April 8, 2025. Voting for Uniformed and Overseas Citizens (“UOCAVA”) begins on March 21, 2025. To request an absentee or UOCAVA ballot, you may do so: In person at 800 9th Street Wheatland; By mailing Platte County Clerk, PO Box 728, Wheatland, WY 82201; By calling (307)322-2315; or By emailing pcelection@plattecountywyoming.com.

 

Campaign Finance Reporting 

Campaign finance reports must be filed between the dates of April 22 and April 29, 2025. Pursuant to Wyoming State Statute (W.S.) §22-25-106, all Political Action Committees (PACs) must file a statement of contributions and expenditures. Amendments to this report must be filed no later than 5:00 PM on May 16, 2025. Those who fail to file a report required by law may be subject to penalties prescribed in W.S. §22-25-108, which includes a fine of $500.00 per day that the report is not filed.

 

 Identification Required to Vote 

Recent changes to Wyoming law require that every voter show acceptable identification at the polls to receive a ballot for voting. Forms of identification accepted at the polls are listed here: https://sos.wyo.gov/Elections/VoterID/Default.aspx. Voters who are unable to produce acceptable identification will be provided with a provisional ballot. Provisional ballots are not counted unless a voter is able to provide acceptable identification to the County Clerk’s Office by 5:00 PM of the day following the election (May 7, 2025).
