NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Chugwater Energy Center, LLC and Chugwater Wind, LLC, both wholly owned indirect subsidiaries of NextEra Energy Resources, LLC has filed applications for the following:

• Rezoning from Ranching, Agricultural and Mining (RAM) to Industrial and Special Use Permit for a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Project in Section 6, Township 20 North, Range 65 West, Platte County, Wyoming.
• Special Use Permit and Solar Permit for Solar Energy Facility project in a RAM zoning classification in Sections 5 and 6, Township 20 North, Range 65 West, Platte County, Wyoming.
• Special Use Permit, Variance Permit and Wind Permit for a Wind Energy Conversion System project located in Sections 1, 2, 3, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 33, 34, 35, 36, Township 21 North, Range 66 West and Sections 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, Township 21 North, Range 65 West and Section 12, 13, Township 20 North, Range 67 West and Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 34, 35, 36, Township 20 North, Range 66 West and Sections 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 16, 18, 19, Township 20 North, Range 65 West , Platte County, Wyoming.  

Public hearings for these applications will be held by the Platte County Planning and Zoning Commission on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at 9:00 AM  at the AgriPlex (4-H Building), located at 59 Antelope Gap Rd, Wheatland, WY, and by the Platte County Commissioners on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 9:00 AM in the same location.  Let your voice be heard, come to the meetings and/or send an email to planner@plattecountywyoming.com with any thoughts, concerns or ideas.
