For the most recent positive case, the follow up is still ongoing and may result in more numbers added to Platte County positive, probable, and close contact quarantine cases. As part of the process, people who have close contact with a person who tests positive for COVID-19 will be or have been identified and contacted by the Wyoming Department of Health. Community members are notified individually if it is determined that they were a close contact with the diagnosed COVID-19 positive person. Positive and probable cases are required to be in 10-day minimum isolation. Close contacts of positive cases are required to be in a 14-day quarantine starting on their last date of contact of a positive unless they become symptomatic during their quarantine period.

The Platte County Health Department wants to remind all Platte County residents:

 Wear a face covering in public places when you cannot distance yourself appropriately. Masks/face coverings are shown to be effective in preventing the spread of COVID-19. Just like wearing your seatbelt, taking your vitamins, washing your fruits and vegetables, defensive driving, and brushing your teeth, they do not have to be 100% to have a benefit that outweighs the risk. Face coverings and masks slow the spread to others.
 Stay home when sick and to avoid contact with others unless you need to seek medical attention. Individuals with a fever, cough, loss of smell/taste, fatigue, chills, muscle aches/pains, and/or sore throat, should visit their healthcare provider. If you are having a true medical emergency, please call 911.
 Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
 Cover your coughs and sneezes.
 Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces such as doorknobs, light switches, countertops, faucets, sinks, phones, keypads, etc.
