Platte County has not adopted any building code requirements (i.e. IBC) at this time. If you are building in unincorporated areas of Platte County you do not need to follow any building code requirements, but you may need to obtain a Construction Certificate. If you are building within town limits you must contact the municipality to see whether they have adopted any building code requirements.
