Marriage Licenses

About Marriage Licenses:

Marriage Licenses are required pursuant to Wyoming State Statute §20-1-103. In order to obtain a marriage license in Platte County, both parties involved in the marriage must appear in our office with their photo identification. Once that license has been issued the parties involved have one year to be married or else the license is no longer valid. Further, that license is only valid within the State of Wyoming. After the parties are wed the license must be returned to the Platte County Clerk's Office.

The applicant and spouse questionnaires can be obtained by visiting our office or by seeing our Forms web page. Here's some information you will need in order to apply for a marriage license:

  • Your full names
  • The state in which you were born
  • Your social security numbers
  • Phone numbers
  • Birth dates
  • Current age
  • Gender (male or female)
  • Current Address for applicant and spouse
